Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical/ DAYS) Croydon£38,000- £40,400 DOE + Overtime (paid at premium rate) + Holidays + Contributory Pension of 5% + Life Cover + Bonus + Share Purchase SchemeWeek 1 – 6.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday.Week 2 – 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday. Every Friday will be 7.30am to 1.30pmMaintenance Engineer from a mechanical maintenance background required within a successful manufacturing business offering excellent training and progression opportunities. They also offer the opportunity to maximise earnings with overtime.The Maintenance Engineer role will be suited to mechanically biased engineers from manufacturing / production background, you will have a strong understanding of industrial equipment and will be working on extrusion lines, reciprocating compressors, autoclaves, coating machines and other ancillary equipment. Strong analytical skills will be required for this role and being skilled at welding and fabricating. The ideal Maintenance Engineer must hold a minimum level 3 certificate / apprenticeship (City & Guilds or NVQ or equivalent).The Maintenance Engineer role will be working as part of a team of 18 engineers currently, and this is split between electrically and mechanically biased disciplines. You will carry out daily activities from the PPM schedule and respond to breakdowns, due to the expansion plans there will be a requirement to be involved in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and working through initial operational faultsThe company have been trading for many years and have long term contracts with very well-known manufacturers making this a very safe long term opportunity for the right individuals.The Maintenance Engineer role:* 80% Mechanical Maintenance 20% Electrical Maintenance* 50% PPM work, 20% reactive 30% Continuous Improvement Projects* Days based roleThe Maintenance Engineer Required:* Mechanically Biased Maintenance Engineer from any manufacturing or engineering background.* Strong knowledge hydraulics, pneumatics and compressor systems.* Apprentice level trained or hold a NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
