As the Head of Finance you will be integral to the team and add considerable value by working closely with regional and global functions. You will have a broad remit of responsibilities including the supervision of regulatory, management, tax and statutoryreporting as well as oversight of the accounts receivable and payable departments. By working closely with the CFO, Head of Planning and Controlling and the regional team, you will drive a strong financial control environment across the two business unit andsteer the strategic direction of the function.Some of your responsibilities will be* Leading a team of 15 direct and indirect reports, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the finance function, including the general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable teams* Ensure accurate and timely regulatory, management, tax and statutory reporting* Oversight and review of the financial control environment across both business units* Drive the strategic direction of the finance function, including exploration of further automation activities and efficient use of Group target systems* Strategic liquidity and capital modelling* Own and manage the relationship with auditors (internal and external), tax authorities and regulators* Drive complex accounting topics across the two business unitsEssential criteria* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified;* Strong technical accounting expertise (IFRS and UK GAAP);* Strong insurance experience, including SII reporting* Pro-active and not afraid to challenge the status quo* Team management and development experience;* Professional approach and delivery of work product;* Energy, enthusiasm, persistence and adaptability;* Ability to influence and lead others;* Focus on timely delivery of quality outputs;* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
