Job Description

We are hiring for the position of Administrative Officer !Location: CroydonSalary: £ 14.91 per hourContract: Temporary, 6 monthsWorking Days: Full time, Monday to FridayHours: 37 hours per week, 9 am to 5 pmBrook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their Croydon office as an Administrative Officer, providing outstanding service in the NAAB (National Age Assessment Board) Operations.Key responsibilities:

  • Collation of a range of MI reports across the different functions of the team, across different IT platforms.
  • Managing a public facing email in-box.
  • Working closely with the other colleagues to provide cover and support as necessary.
  • Developing good working relationships with the Asylum team, Social Workers internal and external stakeholders with enquiries relating to referrals.
  • Checking relevant records with approved and shared responses.
  • Using the CID, Atlas platforms to support with investigating background Age Assessment.
  • Working as part of the wider National Age Assessment Board to ensure consistency and sharing of best practice and provide varied support to the team and social workers when required.
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure all team tasks are managed and completed effectively.
  • Ensuring operational outcomes are delivered in line with standards required (SOPs).
  • Working in collaboration with the Social Workers Team to ensure referrals meet the requirements of the NAAB criteria before accepting the referral.
  • Ensuring that the NAAB Operations inbox is monitored daily, and all emails are actioned within agreed timescales.
  • Ensuring that the NAAB MOVEit Enquiries inbox is monitored daily, and all emails are actioned within agreed timescales.
  • Flagging any safeguarding risks for a young person to the Social Work Team Manager within a timely manner.
  • Updating all the MI trackers on Share point daily.
  • Downloading any documents from MOVEit in a timely manner and deal with them accordingly.
  • Ensuring that correspondence received from LAs/HO by the NAAB is responded to in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring that all personal data is processed in accordance with published policies and guidance, and that all personal data incidents/breaches are reported without delay following the correct procedures including notifying your local Data Protection Practitioner.
  • Ensuring best practice procedures are shared with the team and Social Workers when required.
  • Taking responsibility in ensuring that all mandatory learning and any refresher training is completed annually.
  • Completing any ad-hoc duties to support the team.
  • Updating weekly action plans and timesheet.
