Job Description

Job Title:Duration: 6-month Temporary Opportunity (potential to extend or become permanent)Hourly Rate: £14.00 - £15.00 per hourHours: 38 Hours per weekLocation: London West EndOur prestigious client is seeking an experienced Stock Controller to oversee the management of their luxury merchandise on-site. You will need to be extremely organised and task-focused, with a background in the retail or logistics environment. As an unflappableproblem solver, you will take full responsibility for the daily operations, demonstrating confident communication skills at all levels. This is a brand new role, created due to demand and improving efficiency.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily stock control processes and procedures for the store, which includes approximately 6000 units on-site.
  • Working very closely with the Logistics & Warehouse Manager regarding stock movement and storage.
  • Monitor and analyse stock levels.
  • Reconcile stock monthly, including quarterly stock takes.
  • Develop and maintain processes to ensure optimal stock control and availability for customers.
  • Work closely with the supplier base to ensure timely and cost-effective shipment of stock.
  • Maintain regular communication with relevant export/ import departments.
  • Conduct regular supplier meetings and third-party performance reviews.
  • Forecast stock requirements, including seasonal and promotional periods.
  • Communicate availability issues and provide suitable solutions.
  • Be accountable for detailed checking of supplier invoices
  • Take pride in handling luxury stock with great care and efficiency
  • Building relationships with specialists and internal staff throughout the business.
Skills & Experience:
  • Stock control experience.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Operations.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
  • Can do attitude, ability to thrive under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
