The post holder is required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way.An opportunity has arisen for a secondment development opportunity as District Nursing Charge Nurse for a period of one year working within the Kilmarnock Locality District Nursing Team within East Ayrshire. You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working as a qualified registered nurse in the community and meet the admission criteria for SPQ in District Nursing at UWOS.You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, development, implementation and evaluation of care for a variety of client groups within the community. You will be responsible for the management of the caseload including supervision and deployment of staff.You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work on your own initiative and as a lone worker working within a variety of settings within the community.You should be able to provide evidence of personal development and a willingness to undertake appropriate training.Informal enquiries to Gail McSheehy, Clinical Team Leader on.
