An independent consultancy with a genuine focus upon sustainability, low resource usage and green buildings, this practice offers services engineering and Architectural services.As part of their development and to help them deliver an even better service to their clients they are looking for a Building Physicist or a Building Modeller to join them in their offices based just outside the city centre.You will be involved in a range of projects from your usual schools and commercial buildings through to work on more unusual schemes such as churches and community centres.The common theme is that their clients are looking for low energy, low carbon and minimal footprint from their buildings and this practice has a reputation for developing technical solutions that go beyond compliance.As such, they are looking for someone to join them as a Building Physicist who is happy using industry standard packages such as IES, TAS or Design Builder to produce daylighting, thermal comfort and other information to assist the designers.There is an element of compliance work, but the role is much more rounded than that.When applying you will need to demonstrate a background of working on the technical side of building physics/building modelling coupled with a passion for low energy schemes.You may have either an Architectural or Building Services background, but it is likely you will have a discipline related qualification unless you are able to demonstrate having gained the appropriate knowledge from on the job learning.Their package includes pension, healthcare, insurances and flexible working in terms of time and location.
