Location: Cringleford, near Norwich, NorfolkSalary: £21,000 per annumContract: Permanent, Full TimeHours: Mon-Thurs, 8 - 5, Fridays 8 - 1 (although some overtime may be required)REED are delighted to be supporting our client in currently recruiting an experienced Staff Writer to join its production team.Based in the office near Norwich in Norfolk (hybrid office/home working option available following successful completion of training), the Staff Writer will be responsible for creating questions and then conducting telephone interviews with senior directorsof companies in order to write articles, referred to as company profiles. These articles could be within any of the magazines in the porfolio. Each publication differs slightly in style and guidance and assistance will be on offered to the successful candidatesin order for them to achieve the desired content and tone. The ability to write profiles that are interesting and convey the featured companys message while remaining business-like and avoiding hyperbole and over embellishment is essential.All calls are recorded, so the Writer will be responsible for transcribing some of the calls in order to retrieve the information needed for the article.You will be expected to complete a minimum of one article per day with another started each day, with a view to achieving two per day - articles can vary in length from 850 to 2000+ words.You will also be expected to assist with admin duties, including updating spreadsheets and so forth where needed.You must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, be very organised and have the ability to communicate effectively over the phone.
