Pertemps have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join a successful Shipping company in Torpoint.We are looking for a motivated Accounts Administrator who is an excellent multitasker with exceptional communication and time management skills. With our client, the role of an Accounts Administrator includes a variety of different responsilibilies. Some of these tasks will include:• Assisting in credit control, sales and purchase ledger control• Reconciling the bank, credit card, and petty cash accounts• Managing weekly cash flow and reporting to the Directors• Processing weekly BACS payments• Processing weekly payroll• Preparing and submitting VAT returns• Updating expense claims• Dealing with supplier and customer queries• Cost control, cost management of projectsThe successful candidate will need to have the following:• 2 years+ experience within an Accounts role• Excellent computer skills, able to use Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, Sage 50• AAT qualified or equivalent (Desirable)• Excellent telephone manner, able to explain financial matters and discuss issues• Identifies areas for improvement and developmentThis is a full time permanent position, offering a generous salary of £20,000-£26,000 depending on experience.39 hours and an early finish on a Friday!Monday to Thursday 07.30am – 16.15pm – Friday 07.30am-15.15pmIf you are interested, please APPLY now or contact Chelsea Walker in the Pertemps Plymouth office.
