Job Description

ProcessChemistThe Opportunity:You will join one of Europe’s leading PCB manufacturer in the heart of beautiful Devon. If you are either an experienced Process ChemistOR a Chemical Engineering or Chemistrygraduate, then this could be the perfect role for you.This position will involve working in a Chemical Laboratory and is a Night Shift position, working 4 nights on, 4 nights off.The Role

  • This vacancy is a great opportunity for you to progress in a busy, hands on laboratory and factory setting.Working in a well-established, award winning facility as part of a small Chemistry team on the night shift. The successful candidate will assist the Senior Process Chemist in the analyses, control and maintenance of all wet processes/chemistry and assist inthe running of the water and chemical waste treatment.
  • Control and troubleshooting of all wet processes (Chemistry)
  • Involved in the installation and commission of new equipment and processes
  • Maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with maintenance schedule
  • Ensure that water and chemical waste treatment controls are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements
  • Use of documentation control systems – paper and electronic
What you will bring to the Team:
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience in a Chemists role.
  • Logical thinking and a good application of the scientific method.
  • A degree in Chemical Engineering or another Chemistry based qualification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent data and statistical analysis skills.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of detail.
  • Good understanding of technical documentation.
  • The ability to work unsupervised in a Night Shift role.
