Job Description

Multi Skilled Operator / Line SetterCrediton, DevonPermanent, Full Time£Competitive SalaryAbout the company:Our client offers a wide range of well-known branded products, as well as a comprehensive contract manufacturing service.At the factory site in Devon, they have the capability to manufacture pastilles, sugar boilings and paste lozenges, made to exacting standards, some to formulae handed down by generations and others to meet the ever evolving market requirements.The RoleReporting to the Packing SPO, the Multi-Skilled Packing Operator / Line Setter will work as part of the Packing Team to facilitate the safe operation, changeover and fault finding of machinery in the Packing Area.You will contribute to this by packing products within a GMP framework; and deliver/monitor product quality to ensure that the machinery is running effectively. The principles of Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety will remain a daily priority for the post holder. Full training will be provided.Responsibilities

  • Pack the product in accordance with the PIR and ensure that all products meet the requirements of the customer at all times
  • Carry out all minor and full-format changeovers to the Blister Machines without compromising Safety and Quality:
    • - Isolate machinery prior to cleaning or performing scheduled minor maintenance- Install product format from Laetus Camera menu- Adjust camera parameters to suite product- Teach new format of new product to Laetus Camera- Input pharma code number for carton and leaflet from menu as per the PIR- Input batch number data for linx printer and replace ink and make up for fluid- Periodically strip down and reassemble product infeed system for maintenance and cleaning- Remove relevant parts of the product in feed system’ for cleaning, replace parts after cleaning
  • Show ability to fault find, resolve minor issues and escalate faults to the relevant Multi-Skilled Engineer.
  • Upon request, assist Multi-Skilled Engineers with breakdowns and planned maintenance.
  • Complete paperwork in line with GMP standards and ensure work area complies with GMP requirements.
  • Raise QERs where necessary.
  • Carry out cleaning in the work area to the required standard.
    • Qualifications
  • Essential that you are fully trained in Blister Line operation, to include machine start up, running & paperwork
  • Preferably trained in Bagging Box and VV Sick Pack to include machine start up, running & paperwork
  • Demonstrate an ability and confidence to make minor adjustments to the machinery
  • Evidence a problem-solving approach to your work
  • Numerate and literate with the ability to follow technical instructions
