This includes the Mayflower and Cattedown Terminals as well as jetty operations.MAIN DUTIESTakes on relevant duties under the Incident Control Plan (ICP) in the event of a site incident and is fully conversant with the ICP.Ensures safe and environmentally compliant operation and maintenance of the GPTF monitoring, inspecting and controlling plant parameters and providing appropriate first line maintenance at the terminals and jetty.Responsible for the safe application and operation of the Permit to Work System with the Safe Working Procedures and its application within the Safety, Health and Environmental Policy.Contributes to shift terminal communication processes, fully participating in shift handovers.Provide terminal system start-up and shutdowns, participating in terminal emergency shutdown actions.Carries out process analysis, interpreting general plant and control room information and ensuring logs and documents are updated in a timely manner. Ensure alarms are effectively managed and actioned.Works within operational targets and requirements. Monitors & adjusts terminal operations, to maximise site efficiency, minimise cost, meet environmental compliance and product specification.Works alongside the GPTF maintenance co-ordinator to provide proactive, first line maintenance.Supports terminal projects by providing regular attendance & contributions at meetings, accurate responses to technical queries and supporting installation works and commissioning.Takes a lead role in the supervision and motivation of assigned contract staff.Develops reviews and improves terminal operational and maintenance procedures, policies and activities.Provides best practice operational advice and guidance to other shift and terminal personnel.Works a 12 hour day/night shift pattern, including off-shift cover as detailed in the terminal shift rotaPositively represents the Operations Technician role and the Operations Department to the rest of the GPTF site, the wider Greenergy business, its contractors and customers.N.B.
