Job Description

A Quality Engineer is sought by an expanding North Tyneside based manufacturing companyYou will be responsible for all aspects of Quality Engineering including: -

Leading the investigation & identification root cause of Quality/Process concerns & rejects, and ensuring that effective Countermeasures, Corrective Actions & Preventative Actions are implemented through the use of Quality Tools (8D, 5WHY, Poke Yoke)
Overseeing the quality inspection process
Developing and implementing quality policies and procedures to meet ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards
Examination, analysis and reprocessing of customer returns
Creation and issue of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) in relation to process operations and product assembly
Creation of Quality Standards documentation for material and Inspection procedures
Carry out internal and supplier audits
Responsible for the Calibration of measuring equipment, including internal checks and externally calibrated equipment
Set criteria for Supplier Approval and performance measurements (Quality & Delivery)

You will need experience as a Quality Engineer within a change and improvement-led manufacturing environment. Experience of creating and implementing quality systems, procedures and policies that are compliant to ISO9001 and IATF16949 standards. You willneed experience of carrying out internal and external audits.
