Job Description

LOOKING TO SECURE A TRAINING CONTRACT IN THE LONGER TERMWe have a Fabulous Opportunity with an Award-Winning, Lexcel Accredited City Centre Law Firm for a Paralegal / Fee Earner with Private Client / Wills and Probate ExperienceCompetitive Salary, commensurate with experienceWe are working with a small, well-established, highly reputable, Lexcel accredited law firm who are looking to attract an experienced Private Client Paralegal / Fee Earner to join their busy Private Client (Wills, Probate and Court of Protection) team, basedin Coventry city centre.This firm very much encourages career development, recognising and rewarding hard work. Here, you will be well-supported and mentored in all areas, to ensure your long-term career progression.The job will involve:

  • Running a varied caseload of private client matters, under supervision, and supporting colleagues/senior solicitors with their caseloads, covering:
    • Wills and Probate
    • Administration of Estates
    • Lasting Powers of Attorney
    • Inheritance Tax Planning and Trusts
    • Court of Protection and Deputyship
  • Preparing Lasting Powers of Attorneys
  • Drafting wills, probate applications and applications to the Court of Protection
Suitable candidates will have:
  • Experience of running a private client caseload under supervision
  • Experience of court of protection work (desirable)
  • The ability to work well using your own initiative, and as part of a team
  • Excellent client care skills including the ability to demonstrate an understanding of clients’ needs and expectations
  • Good time-management and organisational skills
This is a full-time permanent job working 9am to 5.15pm Monday to Friday. The role is currently office-based, however the opportunity for home-working part of the week may be considered, going forward. Reduced hours will also be consideredfor suitably experienced candidates.Benefits include:
