Job Description

Job Ref: AW/016021Title: UK Distributor Account Manager Based: National Salary: basic up to c£50,000 DOE plus uncapped commission The Company A market leading global manufacturer of premium Foodservice Equipment sold via a network of distributors across the UK is looking for an experienced B2B sales professional to nurture and grow the sales opportunities within the current dealer network, as well as generating new business and opening new channels.The RoleThis is a national role which requires excellent journey planning and diary management.

  • Sales and promotion of the full range of products to a network of Catering Distributors (including wholesalers and design houses);
  • Establish strong professional relationships with your distributor clients;
  • Grow business through effective sales calls and increasing client awareness of any current product promotions;
  • Identify and open new distributor clients;
  • Ensure that each sales call has a goal -both in terms of current activity and long-term pipeline;
  • Daily and weekly communication with your line manager and other sales staff, sharing leads and offering support wherever possible;
  • Monthly sales reporting;
  • Share feedback from your territory on trends, challenges etc. with your line manager and other departments to support the business marketing and strategic development.
  • The Person
  • Proven sales success from a B2B field sales environment;
  • Experience of selling Foodservice (or Beverage) Equipment to distributors;
  • Excellent organisation and journey-planning skills with the ability to cover a large geographical territory;
  • Central location with good access to major travel routes;
  • Flexible to travel extensively and stay away from home when required;
  • Strong self-management skills with a strong work ethic: treats every call as a sales opportunity with clear goals to achieve;
  • Personable, professional and tenacious;
  • Passionate about the foodservice industry.
