Job Role: Storage and Virtualisation ConsultantLocation: 1 hour commute of Northants - Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, East Midlands, Cambridgeshire, Northants, West MidlandsSalary package: £50-60,000 + bonus (£6,000) + benefitsKey skills: VMware, VCP, vSphere, ESX, HPE, Aruba, VCAP, VXRail, IBM Spectrum Protect, TSM, Tivoli, Tivoli Storage Manager, Dell/EMC, Incident Management, Problem Management, Veeam, Dell/EMC, DellEMC, Storage, SAN, Backup, Engineer, MSP, IT ServiceProviderChapman Tate Associates seeks a Storage and Virtualisation Consultant to join this leading IT MSP that deliver a range of services and solutions around Cloud Computing, IT Managed Services, Storage/Backup Solutions, Unified Communications and Cyber Security.Working and supporting a varied range of customers the Storage and Virtualisation Consultant will be responsible for providing specialist support services to a range of customers in a diverse range of industries.Ideally you will have worked with and supported an VMware Solutions (vSphere, ESX) and Storage Solutions around Dell/EMC and HPE.The role will include the following:Implementation, design and delivery of IT infrastructure and Storage ServicesPre-sales supportInvestigate issues and provide root cause analysisExecute Change, Release and Incident Management effectively and timelyAdhere to deadlines in line with SLAsSkills and Experience:Proven track record of 3rd line infrastructure support experienceExperience supporting the following Infrastructure solutions:VMware 5.56.06.56.7 (ClusteredMultiple site)HPCisco UCSDell serversShared SAN StorageOther areas of the role will include:Provide client system administration, support and technical resolutionEnsure internal/external processes and procedures are adhered to, in order to maintain consistency and quality of serviceEnsure runbooks are maintained and kept up to date for all assigned customersWorking to customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs)Liaising with 3rd Party support companiesConducting daily, weekly and monthly checks within the customer environments to ensure they are running as expectedIdentify issues and help to drive improvements in customer satisfactionSkills and Experience:Essential:Experience working in a engineering and troubleshooting environmentExposure and understanding of IT Principles and technologiesDemonstrable strong customer service focusSofter skills will include:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalProfessional appearance, well-mannered and a constructive attitude in all work-related mattersAbility to handle multiple tasks and prioritise work to maintain required productivity levelsWillingness to research and self-study to keep skills relevantSelf-motivated, flexible in approach, enthusiastic team player and independent workerStrong rapport and relationship building skills with internal/external customersStrong personal drive, sense of responsibility and accountability, results drivenMethodical in approach with sound analytical and problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detailEnjoys a challengeExcellent opportunity within a thriving business that look after and develop their staff.Apply online now for a quick turnaround.
