Job Description

Specialist Teaching AssistantLocation: Coventry (CV7)PayScale: £80-£95 per dayStart Date: ASAPOpportunity to go permanent!On-site ParkingOver 35 training courses providedDo you have experience using Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA)Are you looking to further your career in educationLTF Recruitment are delighted to be offering the opportunity to work at one of our partner schools as a Specialist ABA Teaching Assistant. The school are based in West Coventry and are looking to invest in a new member of staff to join an inclusive, passionateteam. Experience is not necessary, just a positive, enthusiastic attitude! There is the opportunity in the first two weeks of starting to complete up to 35 training courses to further career development and work up the pay scale.About the school:

  • Utilises the principals of ABA and pyramid approach to education which gives pupils an effective means of communication using the Picture Exchange System.
  • Provide a school for young children with autism who find it difficult to manage in mainstream school.
  • Provides personalised access to a differentiated curriculum that has breadth and balance appropriate to meet each individual pupils needs.
  • Friendly, supportive team of staff who put the pupils needs first.
  • Offers an array of extra-curricular activities to teach the pupils life skills.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Organise workload for pupils and delivering teaching using ABA and PECS (where appropriate).
  • Participate in regular training and development reviews with senior leaders.
  • Work in a High Dependency Unit on a 1:1 and small group basis with children diagnosed with autism.
  • Working as part of a professional team, taking responsibility for own workload, and working closely with other team members.
  • Have an outgoing, can-do attitude!
