Job Description

Position: Site ManagerLocation: CoventryEmployment Type: Full-TimeSalary: £45k - £50k + Car AllowanceMy client, a leading main contractor in the construction industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join their team. They specialize in working in partnership with housing associations, delivering kitchen and bathroom refurb worksto social housing units across the West Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the improvement of social housing and make a positive impact on communities.Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the successful delivery of kitchen and bathroom refurb works to social housing units.
  • Collaborate with housing associations, clients, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Take ownership of project management, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and procurement.
  • Monitor and control project progress, identify and resolve any issues or risks that may arise during construction.
  • Lead a team of site staff, providing clear direction, support, and guidance to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, housing associations, and stakeholders, ensuring their satisfaction and resolving any concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment on-site.
  • Oversee the implementation of quality control procedures, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Regularly report project status, progress, and key metrics to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar role in the construction industry, preferably with a main contractor.
  • Extensive experience in delivering kitchen and bathroom works to social housing units in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management or a related field (degree or equivalent).
