We need an experienced Mechanical Engineer or Service Technician with a hands-on engineering background to provide technical support, service, and reactive maintenance on our machines when they break down or need servicing.Our workshop is based in Birmingham, and we supply our machines to a variety of industrial customers, largely within a few hours of our site, but occasionally you may have to travel further and maybe stay away if you need to in the UK.Youll be home based - maybe youll be in the office 1 day a week, the split is about 80% service and planned preventative maintenance (PPM), 20% reactive covering technical support and troubleshooting.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer - MachineryYoull attend reactive breakdowns - if you cant solve the problem over the phone Carry out planned preventative maintenance - so you wont need to go out as much Provide telephone technical support and diagnosticsPERSON SPECIFICATION: Service Engineer, Mechanical Engineer - MachineryYoull have a practical mechanical background - which could come from anything like service, maintenance, fitting, assembly, overhaul You will need to be a good communicator as your point of contact with a customer could be a Maintenance Engineer or an owner / Managing Director.Because we sell a wide variety of machines including chemical dosing, chemical spraying, chemical coatings, and cleaning machines / washers we are happy to be flexible on your background.You could come from any number of different backgrounds such as water treatment, waste water, laundry machines, food and beverage, coffee machines, paint spraying, jet washers, pumps, water meters, chillers, compressors, boilers, chemical dosing, auto technician,HVAC, air conditioning, facilities engineer, vending machines, gaming machines, water coolers, brewing, fruit machines, jukeboxes, amusement machines, gas coolers, cellar maintenance, printers etc.THE COMPANY:Formed over 50 years ago, we supply a variety of chemical dosing and dispensing, machines into various industrial sectors nationwide.It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets and worked with the following products and/or services: Service Engineer, Service Technician, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Engineer- repair, technical support, chemical, water treatment, waste water, laundry machines, food and beverage, coffee machines, paint spraying, jet washers, pumps, water meters, chillers, compressors, boilers, chemical dosing, auto technician, HVAC, air conditioning,facilities engineer, vending machines, gaming machines, water coolers, brewing, fruit machines, jukeboxes, amusement machines, gas coolers, cellar maintenance, refrigeration.INTERESTED Please click apply.
