Job Description

Senior MI & Data Analyst required for my client a leading West Midlands based financial organisation.My client offers an excellent career opportunity along with, flexible working hours, remote working, a number of healthcare benefits as well as an excellent contributory pension, life assurance, free parking and a company bonus scheme.The role:Lead complex projects and initiatives which drive strategic decision making and generate insights and value from the data using BI tools, technologies and techniques.

  • Extensive Data modelling with specialist expertise in Data Analysis report building and some knowledge of visualisation and storytelling through data.
    • Experience required:
  • Expert in writing freehand SQL against normalised and denormalised data warehouse structures (aginity)
  • Data Modelling software
  • BI and ad hoc reporting tools (ideally Cognos)
  • Kimball Methodology
  • Visualisation and dashboards
  • Excellent Stakeholder Management
    • Ability to use the following systems/technologies:
  • SQL
  • Business Intelligence and Enterprising Reporting tools (ideally Cognos Report/Query Studio v10)
  • Discovery/visualisation (Tableau, SAS VA, Qliksense, PowerBI)
  • Netezza
  • MS Office including VBA
  • Catalogues/Metadata solutions (e.g. Collibra) preferred but not essential
