Job Description

Optionis is the market-leading provider of accountancy, tax and umbrella employment solutions to contractors and small businesses within the UK. You will be joining a team of 450 staff, who represent highly successful brands such as Parasol, ClearSky, SJDAccountancy and Nixon Williams.Through our brands, we specialise in managing tax, employment, accountancy and legislative compliance for the UKs small businesses and contingent workforce - our solutions are market leading, and were always looking out for the best possible employees.We are now looking to hire a Senior HR Assistant to join our team. This is a newly created role which will lead the delivery of the HR shared service function for the group which covers the entire employee lifecycle including Payroll, reward and benefitsadministration, HR MI datasets and management of the HR System (Iris). The HR & Reward Analyst will be a pivotal member of the HR team and have management responsibility of the HR Administrator.Responsibilities of the Senior HR Assistant:

  • Ensure all HR SLAs are met and an excellent customer service is delivered to the business
  • Manage the employee management system including the development of the system
  • Produce the monthly HR management information, highlight trends, risks, and issues, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Take ownership of providing HR data and reporting to stakeholders as needed
  • Ensure all relevant information affecting Payroll is processed accurately on a monthly basis as well as keeping up to date with legal changes to ensure compliance.
  • Consider GDPR risks and manage compliance changes in line with legal legislation
  • Produce the annual Gender Pay Gap reporting for the group
  • Support the Head of Payroll and Reward with the Groups benefit offering ensuring they are operated in accordance with policy, legislative requirements and agreed SLAs.
  • Support with third party relationships to ensure competitive pricing as well as conduct market reviews where necessary.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are continuously reviewed and updated to ensure they are fit for purpose and deliver a quality service
  • Plan and support with the execution of the annual reward cycle
  • Actively contribute to the creation of the People Strategy inline with the strategic and operational plans
  • Develop, implement and embed key HR initiatives
  • Take the lead on specific projects
  • To carry out such other duties and responsibilities which are consistent with the role
Requirements:
  • CIPD Level 5 or above
  • Previous experience of operating at similar level working in a commercially focused environment
  • Supervision experience
  • Track record of delivery in a fast pace environment
  • A forward thinking and solution focused attitude
  • Ability to deliver on multiple priorities
  • Self-starter who is able to initiate action and take responsibility for problem solving
  • Proven ability to assert influence and expertise when appropriate and apply creative solutions to new situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to establish credibility and develop and build good working relationships with people at all levels
  • Able to work under own initiative, with a degree of autonomy, to tight deadlines
  • An excellent team player with an attitude to roll sleeves up and become involved in different HR activities as required
