Job Description

Coventry city centreSalary circa £50,000 - £70,000 depending on PQE plus bonus and a range of additional benefitsWe are working in partnership with one of the region’s leading Lexcel accredited, award-winning law firms, employing over 400 staff over several midlands locations.We are seeking an experienced SeniorDispute Resolution Solicitor/ Legal Executivewith a minimum of 5 years’ PQE, to join their friendly, supportive team in Coventry city centre.Not only has our client made it onto the Best Companies list for the fourth year running; they’re also featured in the Law’s 20 Best Firmsto work for, and one of the Midlands’ 100 Best Companies.As an Associate Solicitor, you will be dealing with a range of disputes to include pre-action and the service of notices, court proceedings and ADR.The role will involve:

  • Managing your own caseload across high-value and complex litigation matters.
  • Advising individuals and business clients on a full range of litigation matters including landlord and tenant disputes and repossessions (both residential and commercial)
  • Litigating on alienation disputes, break notices, dilapidations, possession claims, rent arrears recovery and forfeiture and 146 notices
  • Building connections locally with other professionals to include property agents
  • Ensuring compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs and accounting requirements
Suitable candidates will have:
  • Fully qualified status with a minimum of 5 years PQE within property litigation, managing own caseload across a variety of matters
  • An excellent understanding of the Civil Procedure and the ability to navigate around the court rules
  • Competency in making and defending interim applications
  • Experience of conducting their own advocacy
