Coventry University is a leading Higher Education provider who have a state-of-the-art, multi million pound campus in the heart of Coventry.Client DetailsCoventry University is a leading Higher Education provider who have a state-of-the-art, multi million pound campus in the heart of Coventry.DescriptionAs Senior Credit Controller, reporting to the Assistant Accounts Receivable Manager you will work as part of the Accounts Receivable team, through a high degree of autonomy you will be responsible for the management of the Accounts Receivable ledger. Themain duties as Senior Credit Controller include but are not limited to:Adhere to the Universitys Tuition Fees and Refunds Policy and procedures in relation to debt recoveryDay-to-day supervision of up to 4 5 Finance Assistants and AdministratorsMaximise cash collection; reduce and maintain aged debt to a minimal value using a range of debt chasing methodsRun daily Accounts Receivable reports to identify and prioritise debtorsLiaise with debtors through e-mail, letter, SMS and telephoneGeneral maintenance of the AR ledger to include: small balance write offs, complaint codes, allocations and reconciling journalsSupport Banking Operations with payment allocation queries to identify the correct account for incoming paymentsRespond to Debt Collections Agencies queries regarding historical debts in an accurate and timely mannerWorking with the Assistant Accounts Receivable Manager and the wider team to identify and implement process improvementsProfileThe most desirable Senior Credit Controller applicant will have:Substantial Credit Control / Accounts Receivable experienceLine management experience (which may include 121s, appraisals and absent management)Agresso / Business World / GFS finance system user knowledgeJob OfferTotal package consists of:Basic salary of up to £27,131 dependent on experience30 days annual leave plus Bank HolidaysA market leading Local Government Pension SchemeHybrid Working Pattern (Non contractual but currently work from home every other day
