Saint-Gobain is a global leader in the construction industry with a presence in over 67 countries.How will you support usYou will be responsible for the maintenance and development of existing BI solutions which have been approved and used within the Management Information structure. The roles primary purpose is focused on the technical aspects of BI utilising the tools, techniques and technologies to convert our data from current sources into visual and insightful management information. Working with the Head of MI and BI, this role will assist in selecting the best software solution from the approved list and utilising it to create visual Management Information concluding in actionable insights.The Senior BI Developer will collaborate closely with BI design to translate business requirements into visual and accurate management information.This mid- senior role will manage a small team tasked with delivering the BI solutions.To be suitable for Senior BI Developer role you will:

  • Develop, publish, schedule reports and dashboards to meet business requirements
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications
  • Help improve MI reporting across the whole business
  • Centralise and streamline BI functionality across the whole business
  • Create of technical documentation for BI tools
  • Ingest data from a variety of corporate data sources and perform required transformations in Power BI/Tableau
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems across a complex organisation with multiple brands and multiple levels
  • Develop reporting systems that provide accessible information for decision making
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of working collaboratively, including influencing and negotiating with suppliers, stakeholders and partners to define and deliver.

  • Significant experience and In-depth understanding of BI technologies (Microsoft Power BI essential, Tableau desirable)
  • Demonstrated technical excellence in developing and maintaining BI solutions
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience in a complex organisation
  • An understanding of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Experience with Python, R Studio
  • An understanding of SQL queries, SSMS SQL Server Management Studio
  • BA / BSc in a STEM field
  • Strong team player and creative thinking skills, and a desire to "make a difference"
