Job Description

A well - established, leading innovator within the professional (B2B) fire and security industry. Their impressive customer base includes Screwfix and B&Q as well as many other trade and retail businesses throughout the UK and internationally.The role:As Sales Office Manager, you will lead and manage the small Sales Order Management Team based in Coventry & Gloucester, as well as review, improve and manage all processes and procedures within the department.This is a pivotal role within the business and will involve you working closely with senior level colleagues including Business Directors, Account Manager and Distribution Partners as well directly with customers to ensure the customer sales process runssmoothly, according to plan and to targets.You will drive continuous improvement for the global Sales Order Team and spearhead workflow improvements through enhanced business processes, technology and knowledge sharing.You and your team will own the end-to-end customer order process.Duties will include;

  • Liaise with supply chain management to mange sales order expectation in line with stock availability
  • Liaise with finance and credit control in order to effectively manage customer credit limits
  • Keep colleagues and customers updated with any order delays
  • Ensure the team are managing their workload effectively and maintaining accurate customer data at all times
  • Develop and implement measurable KPIs for the team in order to drive revenue and profit performance as well as customer satisfaction
  • Continuously develop and upskill team members to ensure job satisfaction and maximise their contribution
  • Review and streamline all existing processes and procedures to enhance efficiency
  • Manage and resolve any customer escalations
  • Travel to Gloucester once a week to support team members
The person:In order to be considered for the role of Sales Office Manager, you must possess the following;
  • Based in/near Coventry but happy to travel to Gloucester once a week (hybrid office/home)
  • Previous experience working as an Office and Team Manager within a B2B sales environment
  • Strong administrative skills, knowledge and experience
  • A solid understanding of data processing, workflow and efficiency
  • Experience of reviewing and revamping processes and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Sales Order processes
  • Knowledge and proficiency of working with SAP would be a distinct advantage
  • A professional approach and demeanour with the ability to interact with senior level customers and colleagues alike
  • Effective relationship building skills - both internally and externally
  • Confidence with handling change management
  • Natural problem - solving abilities in order to chase down problems to resolution
  • A positive, adaptable and flexible approach
