Job Description

Quality TechnicianCoventry£28,000Days (1pm Finish On Fridays)***Candidates must be willing to travel occasionally to customer sites and hold a Full UK Driving License***Company Profile:Our client, a leading manufacturer in their field are looking for a Quality Technician to join their team. Working within this established organisation, you will be functioning in a world class environment where Quality is of upmost importance. Reportingdirectly to the Quality Manager you will play an integral role in achieving Quality targets for a true market leading company. With a long-established presence within Coventry this is an ideal opportunity for a strong Quality Technician looking for their nextchallenging position with the backing of a stable and secure business.This position will appeal to an individual who is keen to constantly uphold and improve quality standards within a manufacturing environment.Role Description:

  • Assist with Calibration and Inspection* Operate the CMM (experience and advantage but not essential)* Assist with APQP for new products, to include generation & development of alldocumentation.* New Product Project Support, including Customer Parts Quality FunctionLiaison, Internal & External Tool Trial / Line Trial Support, Trial Data collection& Variation Control.* PPAP .* NVA Reduction Activity Support, Quality Improvement Activity Monitoring &Support* Customer Concern Investigation, Resolution & Response* Assist with the maintenance of quality systems and implementation of changesand improvements in line with TS16949.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • A dynamic enthusiastic candidate able to demonstrate a minimum 1 yearsexperience in a quality role within manufacturing industry.* Candidate should be educated to at least HNC/D level in an engineering orquality discipline.* Candidate should possess good report presentation skills together with strongverbal communication and negotiation skills.* Use of standard measuring equipment essential.* The successful candidate must have good IT skills working with Microsoftoffice.* Must be able to drive and have current licence.* Candidate should possess good report skills together with strong verbalcommunication and negotiation skills, as the position is a customer & supplierfacing role.
