Job Description

Process Support Engineer required for one of the worlds largest producers of rubber products and components. Providing support to all areas of the business using rubbers and polymers.This is a new internal role and offers the rare opportunity to contribute to the process and procedures that will govern the utilisation and development of this role.Benefits Include.

I want to talk with anyone with demonstrable experience of a similar mechanical/process support role where the use of rubber or polymers form a key part of the manufacturing process, alternatively I would like to talk to any Engineers with experience ofdefining process parameters, materials testing and mechanical testing.Key tasks and responsibilities.
  • Testing of incoming material compounds
  • Testing of produced rubber / polymer components
  • Support manufacturing to optimise processing
  • Support quality and problem resolution
  • Work with design engineering on new product introduction
  • Liaise with suppliers to support material and product improvements
Key Knowledge and Skills.
  • At least BSc/BEng educated in Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, Materials or closely related subjects
  • Previous industrial experience of polymer processing, compounding, and characterisation, preferably with rubber compounds
  • Strong analytical background ideally with previous statistical and data analysis experience.
  • Skilled in polymer analysis via thermal, mechanical, and physical testing techniques.
This role would suit engineers with experience of Polymers / Rubber manufacturing process, material testing and mechanical support based in the West Midlands.
