Job Description

Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborativeProcess Engineer – Propulsion Technologies to join our clients inclusive team. This contract Manufacturing Engineering role is based in Coventry and offers an Umbrellarate of £30.00 per hour inside IR35. This contract is initially for 22 weeks and is open for extension.You will be at the forefront of developing new, technologically advanced electric propulsion systems. The team is responsible for the development and introduction of industry-leading processes and facilities incorporating state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies.You will be working closely with Product Development Engineers and suppliers to ensure that battery system designs meet world-class quality and efficiency standards.During your first few weeks in this Process Engineer role, you can expect to:

  • Work closely with Product Development Engineers and suppliers to ensure that battery system designs meet world-class quality and efficiency standards
  • Utilise your knowledge to develop and implement assembly and in-process test processes and facilities to deliver the safety, quality delivery and cost objectives
  • Work within cross-functional teams and support projects from early concepts to launch
The successfulProcess Engineer – Propulsion Technologies applicant will have previous experience in Manufacturing / Engineering processes, tools and techniques. You will also require:
  • Experience in facility installation, project management, capability validation, commissioning and product launch
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams and flexibility to support projects from early concepts to launch
  • Good IT skills and competence with MS Office Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Project)
  • Ability to use CAD packages to review engineering drawings and models (Catia V6 & Teamcentre, etc
  • Understanding of safe automated and manual manufacturing systems.
