There continues to be significant investment from the parent company.This role will be working on all early concept stage projects and the team has a strong pipeline of continuous work on exciting new and existing projects. The Principal CAD Engineer – Body & Trim is responsible for the coordination of the team of 4 Contract CAD Engineers supporting Pre-KO work for the Body and Trim Team ensuring technical delivery to cost, quality & time for tasks and activitiesassigned to them by their module team line Leads and Principal Engineers. They will be able to coordinate the exchange of data. They will also be able to conduct CAD work (3D Concept Studies, Sections) when required to support the wider team.The Principal CAD Engineer – Body & Trim will work with teams responsible for the design and development of the following Vehicle Body and Trim areas: - · Cockpit - Instrument Panel, Console (Front and Rear), CCB, Steering Wheel · HVAC Ventsand Ducting · Restraints Airbags and Seat Belts · Cabin Trim and Boot Trim · BIW (Top Hat) Interior and Exterior · Closures · Exterior Trim · LightingThe Principal CAD Engineer – Body & Trim will ideally be able to demonstrate relevant engineering experience in all Vehicle Body and Trim module area systems design & development, from concept to production.Role requirements include:
