Job Description

Payroller (part time) require to work on a hybrid basis in Coventry. We are looking for candidates to process end-to-end payroll across several groups. This will include manual calculations, payroll reporting, dealing with queries and processing startersand leavers. Essential Minimum of 2 years experience of completing the full UK payroll process Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines to achieve objectives. Ability to use initiative to identify possible improvements and work together to define and implement solutions. Keen to learn new tasks and processes as the business requires. Great communicationskills are essential in this role as the Payroll administrator will be the main point of contact for pay-related queries. This role requires flexibility around working patterns as the payroll deadlines are dependent on the payroll timelines month on month. THE ROLE: Process payroll data on a weekly and monthly basis in time with statutory and company requirements including attachments of earnings & Administer the SSP, SMP and SPP schemes Work with Finance business partners team to ensure all journals are posted correctly and any payroll reconciliations completed Liaise with external parties including HMRC, Courts, Student Loan companies etc Support administration of pension systems and payments Provide advice to staff and managers in relation to pay, taxation and NI Continually strive to improve the efficiencies of payroll operations and work processes To assist with the introduction and launch of the new Payroll System Knowledge of dealing with payroll bureaus is desirable Ensure all Year-end processes are completed in a timely manner and assist with providing answers to related audit queries. This role will be 20-25hours a week with the option to work from home a few days a week You must have some experience in payroll but training will be given and you will be working alongside someone initially.
