Job Description

A growing manufacturing business supplying a variety of retailers from SMEs to large blue chips on an international level, are now recruiting an Operations Manager / Factory Manager to run the site, holding responsibility across all departments including Manufacturing, Maintenance and Engineering/Toolroom.Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for improving existing production processes, but not be afraid to challenge the status quo and implement new ones. Winning the hearts and minds of your direct reports, you will focus on getting the buy in of your team in order for these changes and improvements to happen with minimum friction. Liaising with stakeholders of all levels, you will utilise your experience to confidently project future growth plans and take a make it happen mentality to ensure your plans reach fruition.Your duties as Operations Manager / Factory Manager will include -

  • Management across the whole facility, comprising of over 35 moulding machines and 60 staff
  • Allocating, organising and managing workloads
  • Managing KPIs such as OTIF, OEE, waste, etc, with weekly reporting to the MD
  • Working with the Mouldshop Manager to ensure production is kept running and any maintenance issues are dealt with
  • Taking responsibility for H&S matters
  • Managing HR issues covering recruitment, disciplinaries, appraisals, training, etc
  • Improvement / growth projects (including the procurement of capital equipment)
  • Liaising with the warehouse facility to ensure product is shipped out the door
  • Playing a key part in strategy planning with regards to the growth of the company
    • Candidates likely to be suitable role will hold the same job title, or similar such as Operations Director, Site Manager, or General Manager.To be successful in this role the ideal Candidate will -
  • Have experience of running a busy injection moulding facility
  • Possess an excellent knowledge of the injection moulding process, including materials, machinery, and tooling.
  • Have experience of handling HR and Health & Safety functions.
  • Be experienced with lean manufacturing / continuous improvement
  • Have a "can do" attitude,
    • Based near Coventry, this role is easily commutable from Birmingham, Leicester, Burton, Tamworth, Loughborough, Leamington and Daventry.On offer -
  • A competitive salary in the region of £50-60k doe
  • Working days Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
