Job Description

Network and Infrastructure Support EngineerFull Time / PermanentCoventry / On Site£40,000 - £50,000 dependant on experience plus benefitsThe Company:My client are a large and well known technology and IT services business with 25 offices in the UK.The Role:I am looking for an experienced Network and Infrastructure Support Engineer to join and established internal support team and the head office based in Coventry.The role will suit an IT Engineer with experience of working in a busy technical helpdesk and a proven track record of being able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across a client base of 1500 users via remote connectivity, telephone or email.Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking escalated calls from customers around the UK
  • Remotely accessing customer environments to carry out detailed fault diagnostics
  • Providing excellent levels of customer service at all time
  • Travelling to customer sites as required for planned meetings or project work
  • Running daily checks on backups and carrying out preventative maintenance on customer environments
  • Preparing and building customer equipment as required
  • Completing small projects as required, including researching, and testing new products and technologies
Key Skills and Experience required:
  • Proven experience in 2nd / 3rd line support within a busy IT support environment
  • Strong experience with Desktop & Server solutions across the Microsoft stack.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Cloud solutions including Office 365 and Azure
  • Ability to configure Cisco routers and Fortinet firewalls NSE4 working towards NSE5 essential
  • Overall appreciation of system security, requirements and proven experience with relevant software and hardware solutions.
