Job Description

Job title - Manufacturing OperativeLocation - Ansty Park CoventryRate - £15.62 PAYEHours - Mon to Thurs: 7am to 3:30pm / Fri: 7am to 2:30pmStart date - ASAPContract - 6 monthsOur Coventry based client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing / Production Operative to join their busy team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will be involved in handling goods / parts on a fast paced assembly line.The role duties include:

  • Assembling parts from MSC into kits for matrix build.
  • Operating equipment in the tube manipulation area.
  • Checking documentation, record batch numbers and relevant information.
  • Visually checking parts for any defects.
  • Informing Team Leader / MSE of any major problems with tooling whilst in use.
  • Stamping route cards and conform to all quality specifications.
  • Work & adhere to production schedules, efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Working effectively on her/his own, and as a team player at all times.
  • Taking part in Continuous improvement events.
  • Use of JD Edwards to view MRP/planning messages, raising and maintaining Work Orders, interrogating stock screens.
  • Pick and kit all required components to support matrix assembly schedules.
  • Identify shortages and communicate them using system tools and verbal communication to team leader.
  • Performing stock checks and/or traceability audits to maintain accurate stock records, ensuring any required adjustments are communicated to finance for adjustment/correction.
  • Performing regular reviews of Kanban and kit boxes to ensure the correct quantity of boxes remain in circulation and that they are labelled correctly.
Preferred skills and experience:
  • Confident working in a fast pace environment
  • Experience handling parts
  • Preferred SAP experience
