Job Description

The client are an established global design and manufacturer of electronic and air control systems /components with over 100 years supplying to various markets.They are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to strengthen their team.The primary purpose of the role is to carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance throughout the plant facility.

  • Installation of plant and equipment of both electrical and mechanical services.
  • Electrical and mechanical fault diagnosis and rectification on all plant machinery.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and insurance maintenance on all equipment.
  • Assist with electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic circuit design.
  • To provide breakdown cover occasionally outside of working hours.
  • Assist with modification and writing of programmable logic controller programs.
  • Manufacture parts when required using machine tools such as lathes, millers surface grinders etc.
  • Build and wire control panels to required spec from electrical drawings.
I would be keen to receive applications from candidates who hold the following skills/experience;
  • Extensive maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hold a minimum of a 17th edition electrical cert.
  • Pneumatics and Hydraulics experience and knowledge.
  • PLC experience in fault finding and programming. Mitsubishi and RS Logix 500.
  • Qualified to a minimum City & Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • A working knowledge of Steam would be advantageous.
  • Flexible to work different shifts
