Job Description

Maintenance EngineerSalary: £35,842 per annum + 20% shift allowanceLocation: CoventryAre you a skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge in the manufacturing industry Metalis are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our reputable manufacturing client as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and performrepairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals and collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operations.Job Duties:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including inspection, lubrication, and calibration.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, utilizing your technical expertise to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Conduct repairs and replace faulty components to restore equipment functionality and minimize production interruptions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory management.
  • Continuously monitor equipment performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues using various tools and techniques.
  • Must be able to read drawings, CNC experience is preferable but not a requirement.
  • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance practices and reliability-centered maintenance concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Salary & Hours:
  • Salary: £35,843 per annum
  • 20 % Shift allowance -
rotating shifts panamas 3s and 2s
  • Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
