Our client is a globally recognised logistics company that provides advanced and high-end logistics services to their clients all across the world specialising in various sectors. Due to stable growth, they are now looking to acquire the services of aLogistics Coordinator to join their Planning and Monitoring Team. Your role will be to plan and manage time-critical logistics solutions throughout Europe and worldwide operating within strict time constraints and ensuring all schedules and deadlines are met.This is a great opportunity for an individual with the right mindset to develop knowledge of the logistics industry with scope for genuine career advancement.Main Responsibilities:* Work closely with the Team Leader to ensure best practice* Have a good understanding of European driving regulations and bans and the impact they may have on transport planning* Escalate delays in transport and identified problems to the Team Leader, provide options for a resolution to allow effective communication with the client* Work closely with the supplier management team to highlight any gaps in carrier coverage & maintain excellent relationships with carriers* Ensure carrier non-conformances are recorded and escalated as per the agreed quality processKey Skills & Experience:* Previous experience within a Logistics/Freight role is desirable but not essential with the right mindset* A good knowledge of UK road networks is beneficial* Additional languages advantageous* Basic knowledge of using Microsoft products such as Outlook, Excel and Word.* Excellent telephone manner.Additional Information:* Working hours are Monday - Friday, 9-hour rotating shifts between 07:00 - 19:00.
