LOCATION OF WORK: Coventry and Remote working. A mixture of onsite and remote working can be offered.THE ROLE: A highly successful electronics business, who design and manufacture five million IoT smart home safety devices every year require an Electronics Engineer and Lead Electronics Engineer to join their growing R&D team. This role offers you the opportunity to work on a variety of product developments. The products you will be typically designing will be low power, battery operated products that use multiple sensors and a variety of wireless RF communication protocols to communicate to the cloud and applications. For this role you should have mixed signal (Analogue and Digital) circuitry skills and it would be highly desirable if you have designed high volume manufactured products which use RF wireless comms. Experience working on products that use RF protocols such as Bluetooth, BLE, Cellular, WiFi, Zigbee or other proprietary RF protocols would be highly desirable. In this position there is the opportunity to do specific RF design work if you wish, but otherwise experience being able to tune an RF antenna is more than adequate. With the company having a large product range, you will be kept stimulated and challenged with a variety of products to work on. Some work will be working on new devices from concept stage. Others will be enhancing existing products with new features and technology. Being a small Hardware team of 3 Electronic Engineers, you will have opportunity to work on all aspects of a product development, from concept to manufacture. The Hardware team works closely with the Embedded software and Mechanical design team, with an excellent team bond and collaboration between the teams. As such you should be someone who enjoys working part of a close-knit team.Being a Lead Electronics Engineer will mean providing technical direction to the team for the hardware tasks of a product development. The company prides itself on having a great working environment, which is proven by an excellent staff retention record. It is clear to see that employees feel proud about the products they are developing. Not only do the devices protect and save lives, they are sold in every major supermarket and home store, as well as on Amazon.
