There continues to be significant investment from the parent company.An experienced Lead Digital Modelleris requiredto join a company based in a brand new impressive, state of the art Building on Warwick University Campus, leading the development of new vehicle designs, assisting the parent company withthe development of a coherent design language across product ranges.TheLead Digital Modeller will be responsible for advanced and production surfacing projects.Main Activities: Lead the CAS/Class A surfacing phase on UK based Tata Motors programmes Manage the internal and external (3rd party) surfacing teams Interrogate engineering inputs, geometry and sections to understand the impact on surface design and quality Lead the cross functional surface quality review process Participate in integration meetings between engineering, design, program management and suppliers to ensure the right quality of inputs Participate in surface reference model and tooling reference model review process to identify surface quality issues Manage the surfacing transition process from the UK studio to other Tata Motors studios (Italy or India) Daily liaison with studio engineering and the lead designer Provide technical information and support to senior management for design reviews. Plan and prioritise own workload as well as delegating workload Quickly solve problems and to act independently, make decisions under pressure and take responsibility for the outcome Work closely with overseas engineering and manufacturing teams to develop feasible CAS/Class A surface data Take full ownership of quality and delivery timing targetsThe successful candidate will have experience of: Demonstrates advanced skillset in creative digital surface creation using Alias software Experience of working with engineering inputs Can interpret design sketches to create appropriate surface proposals Can integrate technical, engineering and manufacturing inputs Can interface with DMO and provide supporting data for physical modelling A minimum of 12 years automotive or other relevant industry experience.
