Job Description

IT Infrastructure AnalystSector: HealthcareJob Type: TemporaryDuration: Expected to be for 3 months and likely to be longerLocation: CoventryPay Rates: £17.93- £21.72 paye including holiday or £20.00 - £24.72 umbrella per hour depending on skill and experienceBand: 6Start: AsapWorking days and hours: Monday to Friday working 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm.IT Infrastructure AnalystOur client is looking to recruit an experienced Band 6 IT Infrastructure Analyst to work within the NHS.Role responsibilities:

  • To assist in server, network and communications design and installation along with maintenance and support of the Trust’s server, LAN, WAN and voice infrastructure.
  • To assist in the configuration and troubleshooting of routers, switches, firewalls, VPN’s, IPS, VoIP, wireless, WAN acceleration and related systems.
  • To handle server, network and communications service incidents to resolution and pursue problem management where appropriate.
  • To work with the Senior IT Infrastructure Lead to help develop policies and procedures and facilitate testing that applies to the acquisition, management and use of information technology equipment, services and hardware across the stakeholder organisations. This will relate to the internal work of the IT service and to organisation wide issues affecting all clinical and non-clinical staff such as information and IT security policies and procedures.
  • To work with the Senior IT Infrastructure Lead and other Infrastructure Analysts to develop, maintain and test disaster recovery and business continuity policies and procedures for the IT service and assess how these policies will impact on all areas of the health community.
    • To undertake this role you must have the following experience and skills:
  • At least 1 year in a similar role
  • Cisco experience, 3rd line, active directory, backups
  • Knowledge of server, network and communications operating systems and associated technologies ideally gained in large scale distributed environment.
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Experience providing support and development services in a busy IT service.
  • Be a car owner and driver
  • Experience of negotiating with and managing third parties
  • Educated to Degree Level or have demonstrable relevant experience in IT support and development at appropriate level.
  • Be enthusiastic, target driven and self-motivated
  • Have good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Be self-motivated and a commitment to work hours necessary to perform required task
  • Be punctual, reliable, honest, and trustworthy
