Intellectual Property (IP) Commercialisation Executive - CoventryPosition: IP ExecutiveLocation: CoventryContract: PermanentHours: Full timeSalary/Benefits: Up to £55,000 + excellent benefits packageRole Details - Intellectual Property (IP) ExecutiveWe are currently looking for a dynamic IP Executive to join an excellent team on a permanent basis.The IP Executive will support the Director in implementing and delivering the strategy relating to the Group Intellectual (IP) programmes, taking an active role in the development and management of relationships with internal colleagues and external organisationsto deliver key metrics.Key responsibilities of the IP Executive* Support the development of the Intellectual Property (IP) commercialisation business plan, and its effective delivery (on budget).* Support the management of ideas from concept to commercialisation - working with all employees in creating new companies, negotiating and licensing IP* Establish appropriate IP protection measures through external patent attorneys* Identify opportunities for spin-out companies, write exploitation and business plans, and assist in identifying and obtaining appropriate financing to deliver these plans.* Maintain systems for dealing with royalty payments and grant income, and take responsibility for sourcing, developing and securing funding that enables the Group to operate IP support schemes with external partners. * Development of appropriate licensees for Group IP, conducting due diligence on prospective licensees, and negotiating the deals which form the basis of the licences to ensure maximum financial returns.* Design, develop and deliver IP protection and commercialisation training for the company, external business, and other external organisations. * Support the amendment/improvement of Group policies with respect to IP commercialisation and enterprise activity to ensure legal compliance* Work with the People Team to develop relevant, and timely professional development programmes, and address key skills/development needs.Key skills required of the IP Executive* Background knowledge directly related to Intellectual Property ( IP) exploitation.* Knowledge of the different forms of IP, and experience in customer interaction and license negotiation* Experience of managing the exploitation of the different forms of IP* Demonstrable experience of IP portfolio managementRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
