Job Description

Are you an experienced professional in QA within the Education sector30th August, 2023 People Professionals are looking for a seasoned professional in Quality Assurance within the realm of Education. This is an exciting opportunity for a Head of Quality Assurance with our client, a renowned provider of exceptional education and training solutions.The main purpose of this role is to monitor the quality of delivery and uphold the awarding body requirements, ensuring the organisation maintains centre and scheme approvals, and direct claims status for immediate certification upon learner achievement withinthe Skills division.Day to day you will be responsible for the following:

  • Implementing robust quality arrangements across the business to manage financial risk, maintain delivery quality, uphold reputation, and achieve a minimum “Good” Ofsted inspection grade.
  • Leading quality and compliance efforts across funded and non-funded provision, fostering continuous improvement while managing associated risks.
  • Collaborating with the Quality Team and operational units to develop annual Self-Assessment Reports and bi-annual reviews.
  • Representing the client as an Ofsted nominee and ensure readiness for inspections.
  • Developing strategies for improving quality across business divisions.
  • Analysing internal quality and audit data to promptly mitigate risks.
  • Managing quality observation processes, training, and moderation.
  • Maintaining a live Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Thorough understanding of Ofsted requirements and the Education Inspection Framework.
  • Proven experience managing Awarding body and funding prerequisites.
  • Track record in coordinating quality standards approval visits.
  • Proficiency in managing staff and fostering teamwork.
  • Experience in developing Self-Assessment reports.
  • Strong analytical skills for risk identification and mitigation.
  • Clear communication abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
  • Proven experience in successful audit outcomes and minimising clawback.
  • Understanding of effective teaching, learning, and assessment principles.
  • Familiarity with diverse quality standards and process mapping.
