  • Full time (40 hours per week), permanent
  • £11 - £13 per hour depending on experience
Please Note: Applicants must be authorised to work in the UKNewman Landscapes, one of the leading Ground Maintenance firms in the Midlands, is seeking a Groundsman to work on NHS hospitals covering ground maintenance all over the Midlands. We specialise in a range of services, including site clearance, invasive species,arboriculture, and landscaping.We are proud to invest in our staff and develop them through the company so if you are looking to join a business that you can progress in, this is the one for you.About the role:As a Groundsman, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean job site, caring for company equipment, and respecting all customers and their needs.Key duties include:
  • Represent companys interest with professionalism and integrity
  • Maintain clean job site with operatives/ groundsman
  • Teach and train team members for proper procedures and quality work
  • Care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles
  • Presentable in Newmans uniform to customers
  • Direct, oversee, and participate in teamwork, performing any task asked
  • Meet project deadlines without sacrificing quality or customer service
  • Assist with completing project documentation and submitting daily timesheets
  • Attend training classes and seminars as requested
  • Perform other assigned tasks/projects as directed
  • In the absence of the manager or as instructed, take ownership of the teams work, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction
Qualifications and skills:
  • 2+ years of residential and/or commercial grounds maintenance experience
  • Valid drivers license with a clean record
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and quality-driven, with the ability to multitask and problem-solve proactively
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
