* UK based fully remote, need to be able to get to West Midlands twice per Quarter* React application and components build and maintenance* Brand new product build and take to market from R&D prototypeFront End Developer with strong JavaScript React design and build experience needed for a permanent fully remote role in the UK.This is a UK based role which is fully remote however expectations to meetup twice per quarter in West Midlands - No overseas applications will be accepted.Salary up to £45,000 + and excellent benefits package on offerKey Responsibilities:Talented mid-weight (3 - 5 years +) Front End Engineer with good React experience to join a cross-functional development team.This role requires an enthusiastic individual who likes a challenge, preferably experienced with start up mentality and taking a prototype R&D design and concept through production, build and release.You will collaborate with a small team of back end developers and a lead front end engineer on a brand new React/NextJS application. You will have experience as a Front End Engineer, building and maintaining React applications. You should be passionate about modern web practices, be an enthusiastic team contributor, enjoy building React components and have a love of beautiful user interfaces and interactions.In short Collaborate closely with a small team of front end and back end engineers to produce modern, accessible user interfaces in React to a high standard Produce a variety of interfaces, from interactive visual charts, to pleasing touch driven UI and displaying complex data Translate UX/UI designs with an eye for detail Write robust unit tests and integration tests using TDD and contribute to E2E testing Leverage the power of NextJS to create features for a brand new application using a mixture of SSR and SG and traditional client side code Utilise MUI and other React libraries alongside companies own component library with a focus on efficiency and time to market for applications Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in Front End development with some knowledge of frameworks outside of the React ecosystem Get your hands dirty with some older and bespoke Front End technologies as neededRequired Skills Proven experience of development using React (other frameworks may be considered) Experience writing Typescript with an understanding of types and type safety Strong understanding of state management in React applications with experience of one of the following: Redux, MobX, Jotai, Apollo Cache A familiarity with GraphQL with some experience of a client such as Apollo. React Query or other libraries are also acceptable. Experience Jest and React Testing LibraryNice to have Experience with NextJS and understanding of SSR Knowledge of codegen practices for producing GraphQL queries and mutations Experience with Storybook Understanding of accessibility and its importance Optimization experience such as lazy loading, virtualization, and code splitting An understanding of back end technologies, e.g. databases, servers, APIs, security etcThis Front End Developer role based in the UK in a fully remote function is on offer with a permanent salary up to £45,000 + strong benefits package.Please apply via link and send CV in ASAP as client are looking to interview and appoint in the next 2 weeks.
