Job Description

£22,000£28,000 (depending on experience)Enthusiastic about planning and maximising loads Do you have excellent geographical knowledgeDue to continued investment and organic growth, we are currently looking to add a Freight Forwarder at our Coventry office. You will have the opportunity to be part of a highly efficient logistics operation that focuses on exceeding customers expectationsand giving the highest levels of customer service.As a member of our Freight Forwarding team at DFDS you will be tasked with creating customer and haulier relationships, taking on work, and selling it to a third party. Collaborating with contracted clients to boost route options, and DFDS fleet vehiclesto help reduce any empty legs. If youre looking for a role within a dynamic, enthusiastic & fast paced environment, with a willingness to succeed we have the role for you!Working Mon - Fri, 09:0017:00, youll be communicating with customers along with 3rd party hauliers when joining a dedicated team, assisting the planning department, delivering high standards of service whilst liaising with clients regarding potentialissues. Ideally, we require someone who has a minimum of 1 yrs. experience within Forwarding along with a minimum of 3 yrs. experience within the logistics industry in the UK or Internationally.The Role:

  • Day-to-day running of the Freight Forwarding Department within the Coventry office
  • Developing relationships with both customers & third-party hauliers
  • Liaise with sub-contractors to arrange carriage of goods
  • Monitor Customer Service Satisfaction
  • Organise operational workflow to meet customer timeframes
  • Ensure all Company policies are followed
