Job Description

We have a current opportunity for a Floating Homeless Support Worker on a temporary basis. The position will be based in Coventry. For further information about this position please apply.his role will be a 12 week initial temporary placement with a view to offer a permanent contract after. It will also be based at multiple locations over the Coventry area so someone who is happy to travel either on public transport or with their own caris essential.*An Enhanced DBS will be required to start - Child and Adult cleared*Responsibilities of a Floating Homeless Support Worker

  • You will spend your time offering a 1:1 support service to, enabling them to live as independently as they can
  • Provide a crucial role line managing a small team of Support Workers, under the guidance of the Project Manager, conducting regular supervisions and case management sessions
  • Work closely with our service users to work on developing their independence, seeking out opportunities for them to learn, work and get involved in community and social activities
  • Assisting with housing related support - applying for housing / benefits
  • Carrying out routine health and safety checks
Requirements of a Floating Homeless Support Worker
  • Proven track record of working within homelessness
  • DBS on the update service or issued within the last 12 months *needs to be child and adult cleared*
  • Able to start asap and hit the ground running
  • A driver isnt essential but ideal - will need to be able to commute around the Coventry area
