Job Description

My client is a small company that specialise in the maintenance of power generation equipment across the UK. Due to increasing demand, they are looking to bring on board another Service Engineer to ensure that companys fleet of assets are working to fullcapacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background within a generator, CHP or reciprocating engine background. You must also be happy to travel throughout the UK for the position.Field Service Engineer Position Overview

  • Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance on micro turbines
  • Gas compressor maintenance
  • Using remote monitoring software from home to fix faults
  • Providing feedback to design and development team including limitations with designs
  • This is a home-based role and you will travel to client sites throughout the UK. This will mostly be leisure and hospitality sites, and some industrial
  • Occasional visits to the depot
  • Commissioning of installed systems
  • Prioritising safety if yourself and the team
  • Receiving training on company specific products
Field Service Engineer Position Requirements
  • Qualified or time served in mechanical engineering
  • Electrical qualifications are a bonus but not necessary
  • Experience maintaining either reciprocating engines, turbines or CHP generators
  • Any steam boiler maintenance experience is highly beneficial
  • Must be happy to travel throughout the UK with some nights away - expenses paid
  • Full clean driving licence
Field Service Engineer Position Remuneration
  • Salary £35,000 - £45,000
  • Holiday 25 days plus bank holidays
  • 40 Hours a week + overtime paid at time and a half. There is some weekend work
  • Company vehicle and fuel card provided
