Job Description

**Part Time Role**We have a fantastic opportunity for a flexible, freelance, in person secondary English Teacher to join our client’s successful team.We are looking for teachers who are passionate about their work and want to create a positive and supportive learning experience for their students. With this role you will have a wonderful opportunity to inspire and engage pupils in their educational journey.You will be part of a team who cares deeply for their students, as well as supporting and encouraging their staff. Your experience and knowledge will be rewarded with a competitive salary and additional benefits.What we need from you as an English Teacher:

  • Experienced delivering learning to ESOL learners and knowledge of functional skills qualifications
  • Experienced as an English teacher (essential)
  • Experienced with both GCSE English language and literature curriculums
  • Experienced as a primary/secondary level maths teacher/tutor (desirable)
  • Passionate about sharing your knowledge and experience to support learners when providing both 1:1 and small group tuition
  • Able to provide marking support
  • Be able to promote an inclusive learning environment
  • Able to differentiate learning materials to suit learners needs
Additional Requirements:
  • Available to cover staff absence (if required) weekdays (daytime).
  • Available weekday evenings (Mondays are a must) to deliver regular English lessons
  • Have own transport and be prepared to travel around Coventry (CV1-CV6)
  • Be able to use IT confidently
  • Have excellent communication skills and be confident when interacting with learners and parents/carers/learning mentors
  • Hold an enhanced DBS certification (Essential)
Qualifications:
  • Level 3 or higher teaching qualification (essential)
What the role involves:
  • Plan and deliver engaging English/ESOL lessons tailored to the needs of individual students
  • Monitor and record student progress and attendance
  • Provide learning support for students with a range of learning needs
  • Work with your team to support the overall learning experience of students
Salary: 1:1 teaching £40.00 per hour. Small group teaching £45.00 per hour, plus planning allowance.Hours: Fixed: Mondays 5.30pm-7.30pm (small group lessons). Tuesday or Wednesday evening 4pm-6.30pm (1:1 lessons).You must be available for staff absence cover: Tuesdays 10am-2.30pm, Wednesdays 12-2.30pm, Thursdays 12.30-2pm, 4-6pm and Fridays 12-2.30pm.Benefits:
