Job Description

The RoleAre you a seasoned HR professional with a passion for Employee Relations and a desire to take on a senior coaching and mentoring role STARK, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is seeking an exceptional Employee Relations Consultantto provide timely and effective advice to our managers and wider team. Based at our Coventry head office, youll work closely with a dynamic team of 6 ER professionals, supporting our 600 sites and 8000 colleagues, including key brands in the UK like Jewson,Minster, and International Timber.About STARK:At STARK Group, we connect heavy building material suppliers with skilled craftsmen, building and maintaining the cities of tomorrow. We value diversity and equal opportunity, fostering a culture that thrives on responsible individuals challenging the statusquo.Your Role:As a senior member of our Employee Relations team, youll be the go-to expert for complex ER cases. Your expertise in employment law and HR generalist background will drive strategic decision-making and empower our managers to handle various challenges.Youll be integral to achieving key results, reducing employee turnover, minimising costs, maximising efficiencies, and ensuring compliance.What Were Looking For:

  • Extensive knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application in a commercial environment, staying updated with relevant case law.
  • Proven experience in generalist HR, employment tribunals, and ACAS conciliation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, providing a range of potential solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams and OneDrive.
  • Previous experience with applications like Service Now, Workday, and Jira is advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills and integrity, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of Northern Ireland and Channel Isle employment law will give you an edge.
