Industry: Electronics, Automotive Job Title: Embedded Systems EngineerLocation: CoventrySalary: £30,000 - £50,000 per annumJob type: Full time / PermanentExcellent Benefits PackageCompany Overview & Job Title:A great forward thinking engineering organization based in Coventry, who specialize in the Automotive Industry and many more have a new opening role to recruit for an Embedded Systems Engineer.The role:The successful Embedded Systems Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of software for embedded devices and systems from requirements through to production and commercial deployment.Salary:The salary on offer for the successful Embedded Systems Engineer is £30,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience.Working from home policy:Hybrid working is available with an option to work 2 or 3 daysin the office and the rest working remotely. Working 4 days from home is feasible too.Embedded Systems Engineer Key Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant degree qualification (BSc or BEng) in the field i.e., Electronics engineering, Embedded systems, Mechatronics engineering. With industry experience or an MSc or MEng preferably
  • 3-5+ years industry experience
  • Embedded Software Development in C, C++
  • Comfortable working with multiple microcontrollers i.e., STM32, NXP, Atmel, etc.
  • Network Interface protocolsSPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, Ethernet, CAN
  • CAN bus experience, and reverse engineering CAN communications
  • PCB hardware design
  • Reverse engineering of PCB boards
  • Developed and deployed test instruments within a production setting using model-based software like LabView or Lab Windows/CVI
  • Mechanical CAD i.e., Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor
  • Adaptable and a quick learner, and can work with a high level of autonomy to manage their own work and deliver within due dates
  • Hands-on experience of building prototypes and test fixtures and instruments
  • Version Control SystemsSVN, GIT, JIRA, Bitbucket, Mercurial or similar
