Industry: Electronics, Internet of Things, Smart Technology Job Title: Embedded Software EngineerLocation: CoventrySalary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annumJob type: Full time / PermanentExcellent Benefits PackageCompany Overview & Job Title:A brilliant engineering organization based in Coventry, who have great ambition plans to extend its highly competitive advantage through technology which is creating new opportunities for talented and ambitious engineers within their business.One of the new opportunities is that a new role arisen in which theyre now seeking to hire an Embedded Software Engineer.The role:The successful Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for the development for all embedded software solutions that includes the design, development, coding, testing, and debug of Embedded System Software for new and existing cutting-edgeproducts.Salary:The salary on offer for the successful Embedded Software Engineer is 40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience. This role will be office-based working onsite 5 days a week.Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills & Experience:

  • 3-5+ years industry experience
  • Demonstrable experience of the full life cycle for embedded software development
  • Embedded Software Programming in C, C++
  • C# - Huge bonus
  • Microcontrollers - ARM, STM32, PIC
  • Bare metal development
  • Experience of Real time operating systemsFreeRTOS or similar
  • Network Interface protocolsSPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, Ethernet, WI-FI, BLE, ZigBee
  • Graphical User Interface experienceGUI
  • Understanding of IoT development principles and security an advantage
  • Agile development methodologies
  • Version Control SystemsSVN, GIT, JIRA, Bitbucket, Mercurial or similar
Benefits Package:
  • Holidays33 days including bank holiday
  • Working hours37.5 hours per week with flexibility on start and finish times. The office is open from ~7:45am and closes around 5:45pm.
  • 6x salary life cover
  • Bonus scheme based on company performance against target. This has a sliding scale based on exceeding revenue targets. Last year we received around 15% of annual salary but the bonus is capped up to a maximum of 30%.
  • Pension schemeEmployees will automatically be enrolled after 3 months but can join the scheme immediately. The company match the employees contribution + 1% up to a maximum of 7%.
