Job Description

Job Title: Early Careers Schools Engagement Co-ordinator Location: Whitley, CoventryRate: £21.77 ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £16.72 ph PAYEEmployment Type: Contract (6 months)Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per WeekReference: J38642Description:Theres a revolution underway at the company. Our schools engagement strategy aims to develop the future capabilities of young people, aligning this to the various early careers opportunities available with the company. Weare actively recruiting two positions to support our transformation project.Purpose:

  • The role of the schools engagement consultant is to work under the direction of the Senior Consultant Schools Engagement to deliver a programme of activities which is future-focused and aligned to the early careers recruitment strategy.
  • As part of this role, candidate will work with business functions to support, advise and guide the development of activity to be rolled out to schools in hybrid delivery modes, utilising our relationships with external providers to make this happen.
  • Candidate will manage the relationship with UK school and college contacts, gathering requests to track centrally and signposting relevant opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Candidate will be responsible for our central inbox and maintain regular communications with contacts. Working alongside internal colleagues, candidate will develop marketing and attraction tools for schools engagement and maintain relevant areas of ourwebsite.
  • Candidate will manage internal stakeholder expectations and encourage centralised engagement in STEM related activity, working to ensure that all internal processes are followed.
  • Candidate will be required to support the Senior Consultant Schools Engagement at external events including workshops and stakeholder meetings.
  • Candidate will also host webinars and promotional activities to showcase early careers opportunities, in particular apprenticeships, at the company.
  • Will implement a data-led approach in work, using this to draw conclusions about future approaches.
  • The candidate will be working as part of the Early Careers Recruitment team and will be required to support the wider responsibilities of the team to ensure that the team meets quarterly objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs). This includes, butit not limited to, designing, delivering and implementing new candidate initiatives, supporting with the creation of campaign resources, organising photography and videography, developing candidate communications, supporting at post offer engagement events,helping at early careers inductions and more.

  • The candidates role will require interactions with young people and at times with under 18s, so we will expect the candidate to agree to us securing an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
Key performance indicators include:
  • Subject matter knowledge in schools engagement.
  • Early Careers subject matter expertise on the school leaver recruitment market and apprenticeships.
  • Contributing to the agreed companys school leaver engagement strategy that encompasses targeting and engaging critical future talent pools.
  • Develop and maintain critical effective professional relationships particularly with external stakeholders including schools, college, careers leads and internal stakeholders including Early Careers Education Lead, Early Careers Delivery Team, DiversityNetwork Leads, Internal Partners.
Essential Skills Required:
  • Strong influencing, engagement and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Early Careers recruitment, particularly around apprenticeships.
  • Ability to gather data from a variety of sources and provide effective insight and analysis.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
  • Knowledge and understanding of Early Careers recruitment, particularly around apprenticeships.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UK schools and colleges system and UK schools examinations.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong excel and PowerPoint capability.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of high-volume recruitment.
  • Experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Data management capability.
